Tourism in California

Visit California is a non-profit organization self-tasked with developing and maintaining marketing programmes to further develop tourism in California. This organization was previously known as the California Travel & Tourism Commission before its reorganization.[1]

Funding of the organization is through taxes (known as assessments) on tourism related businesses, such as hotels

[1]  Tourism may be international, or within the traveller's country.
